SYNOPSIS (with spoilers)

My script REASONABLE SUSPICION has been praised for having a Hitchcockian vibe and for capturing the energy of old school romantic comedies.
In this Rear Window-meets-Midnight Run comedy/thriller, faithful wife MELISSA finds an address on a post-it in her lawyer husband HENRY’s pocket. She dismisses it, but when she shows the post-it to her best friend TIFFANY (who’s never liked Henry), Tiffany drives her to the address where they spy on Henry in an apartment and see him kiss a gorgeous woman.
Melissa is devastated, of course. But before she can pack her bags and leave, Henry stops her and convinces her to take a flight out of town because a shady millionaire client of his has sent a hitman to kill them both (because Henry knows too much about the client’s illegal slush fund).
That’s his story. That the sexy woman Melissa saw him kiss was really an assassin sent to kill him. “She kissed me! Right before she tried to kill me!” he tells her at the airport—and that he killed the assassin in self-defense. Needless to say, Melissa has “reasonable suspicions” about Henry’s story, so asks Tiffany to check out the apartment.
Tiffany finds no dead body, worries about Melissa’s safety, and takes a following flight where she sits next to and crushes on JOHN, whom the audience knows, is the second hitman sent to kill Henry and Melissa (he removed the 1st assassin’s body from the apt.). Funnily, John doesn’t know who Tiffany is either. And he falls for her.
At a small-town resort where Henry and Melissa are hiding out, John, who’s been contemplating retirement, attempts to kill Henry and fails but does kidnap Melissa. After which the action spirals quickly, as Henry and Tiffany reluctantly team up to save Melissa and later persuade John to assist in taking down the evil millionaire client.
